Multifunctional, waterproof LWAC transport box / ammobox from PPD

The waterproof and impact-resistant Ammo boxes (Light Weight Ammunition Cases - LWAC boxes) are made of sturdy polyethylene and have a wall thickness of 3.6 mm. The boxes were built e.g. for outdoor use, and thanks to extra-strong closures, they remain closed even on turbulent rides through rough terrain. Anyone who often travels in sunny areas will also be pleased that the transport box does not become porous due to the UV light of the sun - thanks to long-term UV-8 stabilizers. And to address the offroad issue, additional stress cracking (ASTM D638, D790B & ISO527 / 1A / 50) and pressure (ASTM D1693 and 1693A) testing procedures were performed.

“Air conditioning” in the classic Defender was regulated by crank handles and had two settings: windows up and windows down. But modern times show no mercy and such anachronisms are getting the chop. The New Defender therefore boasts an AC with not only one but two climatized zones as a standard feature. But what if the vehicle is stationary for longer periods? While parking, camping or as a work vehicle on job sites?

Dogs, kids and fresh air fanatics will appreciate it to no end if you bring our set of ventilation panels with you in the new Landy, be it for hot summers or holiday trips down south. When your vehicle is parked for longer stretches of time, the precisely made aluminum panels fit perfectly and firmly in the window gap and make sure there’s plenty of fresh air circulating while doors are securely locked. Unexpected rain showers and opportunistic thieves are kept out and kids or dogs are not suffering from a potentially dangerous heat trap. Even insects will stay outside due to mosquito netting on the inside of the panel.

One of the first areas to show signs of wear and tear – especially with off-road vehicles – is usually the cargo area. But if your 4x4 is a New Defender, would you really want to see a worn and scratched rear bumper?

Immediate and long-lasting prevention of wear marks on your New Defender’s rear bumper can be achieved with our designated paint protection film. This high-performance product by industry leader 3M protects your New Defender’s rear bumper from scratches and abrasion even when your loading area is constantly in use for work or sports. And don’t forget the damage a dog’s claws can do to the paint when you carry them regularly in a dog box in the back. Due to its multi-layer structure, the 3M wrap also protects the bumper from chipping caused by the impact of small stones or dropped objects.

Installing the paint protection film is really easy. Everything you need is included: cleaning cloth, adhesion promoter wipe, squeegee and detailed instructions. If you’ve never done this before: don’t worry. The protective wrap can be positioned exactly as you need it, but if you have to readjust the position a few millimeters that’s no problem either. Simply slide the film into place. It only starts to adhere once you apply pressure with the squeegee.

The protective wrap is available in black, anthracite grey or silver, making it a perfect visual match for any New Defender color scheme.

The new Alu-Cab Gen 3-R roof top tent in black!

 The new Alu-Cab Gen 3-R roof tent is very similar to the Expedition Gen 3.1! However, it does bring some new features. These start with the design of the roof - the structures on the roof were made using a specific roll form and bring better stability to the whole tent! The tent also has connections for a solar panel and a parking heater. As usual, the interior features the mesh underlay, the connector for USB or a charging option and an LED interior lighting. The bag system on  Headliner has been removed and is now larger than the Gen 3.1. In addition, it now has a rear and side rain cover!

CargoBear 2.0 system roof rack for Land Rover New Defender from 2020 onwards

CargoBear, meet the New Defender! New Defender, meet the CargoBear! Two legends are coming together for the first time: the new Land Rover Defender, arguably the most complete 4x4 off-road vehicle at present, and our tried and tested, very successful modular roof rack system CargoBear. The bear crowns every new Landy, whether it’s a 90 or a 110.

we took our time to finetune the CargoBear for every design detail, technical specification and user requirement the Defender L663 (from MY 2020) challenged us with. At its full length of 2.41 m, our rack consists of 3 crossbars, two platform elements as well as front and rear modules. The overall width of 1.20 m gives you almost 3 square meters of fully usable cargo space. The entire surface can be loaded and walked upon – a decisive advantage over many competing products.

The CargoBear is screwed into the original mounting points of the roof rails which have to be removed, of course. Another great advantage over the competition is the fact that you can configure the CargoBear rack in two heights: At 100 mm, the glass roof – if you have one –remains fully functional. If your Defender doesn’t have a glass roof or if you prefer a lower, more streamlined profile, the rack can be mounted at only 80mm above the roof.

Whether you’re choosing the high or low mount, aerodynamics was always our main concern in the CargoBear’s development. There are no legally required speed limits when driving with the rack, but we recommend a top speed of 160 km/h when empty and 130 km/h when loaded. For the overall load capacity please refer to your owner’s manual and the specific version or configuration of your vehicle. The roof rack’s weight of up to 50 kg has to be deducted from the dynamic load capacity.

The new Defender’s overall look is perfectly complimented by the matte black powder coating of both aluminum and stainless steel elements. While the V-shaped rear module accommodates the antenna and the rear view camera and guarantees full functionality, the front element is specifically designed to easily integrate an Osram VX1000-CB or other light bars.

Camp fires are as old as mankind. Maybe that’s why we have such an intense relationship with open flames, glowing embers and – of course – grilled food. Hand on heart, is there anything more satisfying on a camping or weekend trip than sitting around a real fire with family and friends?

Our brand new modular fire pit with grill and skewers can be put together and packed away in no time. Plates and stands are made from 4 mm steel. They are uncoated, so that barbecuing food is absolutely safe in our Nakatangenga brazier. Moreover, the lack of paints or coatings will also allow the steel to develop a beautiful patina over time – telling the story of so many good times around the fire! The individual metal elements are precision milled and are simply slotted into each other. Once assembled, the pit’s precision engineering makes sure everything holds tightly together. And since there are neither nuts nor bolts involved, you’ll never lose any small fastening parts as with other assembly kits.

The solid short ends of the brazier include the stands and are made from a single sheet of metal each. Two feet on one end and a single one on the other create a firm tripod stand. This makes positioning the fire bowl always safe and easy, even on rough surfaces. If you have soft earth or snow, you can push the stands deep into the ground like a spade, ensuring rock solid stability. The side elements feature aeration holes to guarantee proper oxygenation for your fire or your embers. All around the top of the fire pit, you will find plenty of notches to securely place the grill or the skewers.

Last but not least, the kit also features a sturdy pack bag made of high-quality nylon, reinforced with truck tarpaulin – guaranteeing safe and comfortable transport of your disassembled fire pit. The optional side walls transform the Alu-Cab 270° Awning into a spacious tent. Each side wall is equipped with a window with a mosquito net and the walls can be installed by using Velcro. With the Icarus roof conversion from Alu-Cab from South Africa, a Land Rover Defender can be easily converted into a motorhome. With the roof open, there is a headroom of up to 2.80 m. If the two-part bed surface is folded down, you get a bed that is up to 2.55 m long and can be reached from inside the vehicle for more sleeping comfort. Three spacious openings equipped with mosquito nets ensure a good view and a pleasant stay in the roof tent. The rear entrance is provided with a shading and rain-proof canopy. Several LED reading lamps and lights provide illumination at night.

The new version of the roof conversion developed together with Genesis Import for the requirements of the European market, is made of 2 mm thick aluminum and is based on the design language of the original roof. Integrated tubular struts provide additional stability and the C-rails on the roof make it very easy to mount accessories. The quilted headliner is equipped with insulating foam. From the 2019 season, the Icarus will also be made with the two-layer 400g/mm Riplock tent fabric that is used in the other Alu-Cab tents. Thanks to the three-layer tent fabric with a polyurethane membrane and stretch function, the tent does not flap in the wind and is opaque and waterproof. The lifting roof can be opened in a few seconds using the gas pressure springs. A circumferential elastic band makes it easier to close.

Only the original roof of the Land Rover Defender needs to be unscrewed and removed for installation. Then the  Icarus roof conversion is put on and screwed on. This means that you can switch back to the original roof at any time and install the pop-up roof on another Defender.

The roof conversion comes with all the necessary brackets for mounting between the Defender and the pop-up roof.

The Icarus roof conversion is 180 mm higher than the original roof and weighs approx. 130 kg. This results in a net additional weight of only approx. 70 kg. This is usually less than a conventional roof tent with crossbars.

The roof conversion is available in black and Defender white as standard. The 270-degree awning can only be mounted on the left of the Defender.

Thanks to the rain gutter, existing roof racks can also be mounted on the  Icarus roof conversion.

Whether you’re driving on sand or through muddy/soft tracks, the  ClearView Tyre Spider will quickly and easily assist you to adjust the tyre pressures evenly of your vehicle, caravan or trailer.  Designed to work independently OR to attached to your vehicles air-compressor.

ClearView Tyre Spider Product Features:

Instructions on how to use the ClearView Tyre Spider:

Tyre Inflation – with air compressor (connect up to 4 tires at the same time)

Close the main valve. Open all 4 individual valve hoses to begin pressure equalisation.  Once equalised, close the individual valves, connect your air-compressor and re-open all 5 valves and turn on your air-compressor to begin inflating all four tyres at the same time.  If you require staggered pressure across your tyres, close the individual valves where the ideal pressure has been achieved and continue inflating the remaining tyres.
***This will reduce the overall load on the air-compressor, reduce overall inflation time and reduce the chances of your air compressor overheating.

Tyre Inflation – without air compressor (connect up to 4 tires at the same time)

With the main valve is closed. Open all 4 individual valve hoses to begin sharing air across all 4 tyres.  This will utilise the air in the inflated tyres to re-inflate the deflated tyres.  If you require staggered pressure across your tyres, close the individual valves where the ideal pressure has been achieved and continue inflating the remaining tyres.

Tyre Deflation

Close the main valve. Open all 4 individual valve hoses to begin tyre pressure equalisation.  This will equalise and balance the pressure across all 4 tyres.  Once equalised, open the main valve and the pressure of all 4 tyres will decrease at the same time.  When you are requiring staggered pressure across your tyres, close the individual valves where the ideal pressure has been achieved to allow deflation of the remaining tyres.

Tyre Equalisation

With the main valve closed. Open the 4 individual valve hoses to begin tyre pressure equalisation.  This will equalise and balance the pressure across all 4 tyres.  Close any individual valves if you require different pressure balance from front to back and once completed close the main valve.
